What we store
When account features are configured, WatchScout stores your profile, home country, selected services, ratings, watch history, watchlist, favorites, recommendation feedback, and availability-alert choices and delivery history. Authentication credentials are handled by Supabase Auth.
How it is used
Your activity improves recommendations and lets us prioritize titles available through services you own. If you create an availability alert, your account email and the matching title and provider details are sent to our transactional email processor solely to deliver that alert. Consistent product events may be measured to understand search, recommendation, and availability usefulness.
Public profiles
Public profiles show your chosen display identity and selected viewing activity. Your email, streaming subscriptions, and alerts are never displayed publicly. You can disable your public profile in Settings.
Control
You can change profile visibility and subscription selections in Settings and remove an availability alert from its title page. Production deployments should add a documented account deletion and data export workflow before launch.
